I’m Tana, a gypsy soul, raised in the cornfields of Illinois! Early on, I developed a deep connection to nature and animals and an ability to read and sense subtle changes in energy, a gift that has become my superpower.

My trauma recovery journey has led me through 25 years of personal development work and training across many modalities, from psychology-based approaches (Landmark Education, Coach training, hypnosis, and NLP), to numerous energy healing techniques (Reiki, Quantum Touch, Theta DNA) and finally, body-centered methods to healing (Massage, Myofascial Release, Breathwork, Somatic Experiencing and Grief Movement).

My first Reiki attunement in 2012 brought the ability to channel messages from Spirit. In 2015, a divine intervention led me into the field of massage where I began to see how life experiences and trauma can literally settle into body tissues, creating patterns of pain, armoring, and rigidity.

This discovery led me to pursue advanced training in somatics and trauma recovery where I learned to target and release stored trauma in the body and the nervous system to bring about transformational and lasting shifts

My father’s death in 2022 brought a fundamental shift to my life and the trajectory of my career.  After facing an identity crisis and renewed family conflict, I realized how much family narratives contribute to the development of our identity and how foundational grief work is to healing trauma. I spent a year immersed in and beautifully supported in my grief, earning a Grief Movement certification and a Grief Educator certification. Not only did I find myself, but I gained tools to help others navigate grief and move forward from the losses that trauma has brought.

I’m truly honored to be able to use my journey and experience to hold space for transformation and healing for others!

When I’m not geeking out on neuroscience, you’ll find me outside bonding with Mother Earth, taking photos, planning my next volunteer adventure abroad (usually involving monkeys!) or dreaming about building a tiny house in the forest.
